Formulario de los Medicos ditado p[o]r Dn. Joseph Ignacio García, y Jove Dr. y M[aest]ro y precidente del R[ea]l Tribunal del Proto-medicato de esta Ciudad Mexicana. Produced in Mexico. Further receipts added in other hands, the last dated 1838. Index of symptoms, pp. 223-226. Primarily receipts drawn from the European pharmocopoeias; a few include indigenous materials, e.g. pulque, aguamiel de maguey.

Biographical note

García Jove was President of the Protomedicato throughout the revolutionary era from 1795 until his death.
