Copy letters of outgoing correspondence of W Lloyd Williams, Works Manager, Phoenix Mills, Dartford, to and on behalf of Burroughs Wellcome & Co (BW&Co).

200 pages used. Typescript and manuscript. Ink very faded.

Correspondence mostly consists of letters and reports by Williams on the running of the Chemical works, including matters pertaining to staff recruitment and wages. Correspondents include Henry Wellcome, Burroughs Wellcome & Co and R. C. Sudlow.

December 1896 - December 1897:
Payment to subscriptions (4); Drug production (9); letters asking and / or giving references (25-27; 64-65; 83); discrepancies in hours of work between permanent and temporary staff in the builders department (29-30); outlay on coal (34); sick pay (37); accounts (38-39, 43-48); redesigning recruitment form (40); BW&Co staff attending Dartford Science and Art classes; on letter from Germany from Linkenheil & Co re quality of BW&Co tabloid products (49-50); letter to applicants re jobs at BW&Co (56-60; 79); to R. C.
