089418/Z/09/Z: Darwin Festival at the Manchester Museum

Project Summary:The project is a year-long Festival designed to increase public understanding and awareness of Charles Darwin’s life, work and legacy. The Festival will consist of the largest temporary exhibition and accompanying programme of activities ever undertaken by the museum. Through the staging of a comprehensive programme of exhibitions, public activities, education programmes and outreach, the Festival will use Darwin’s work as a springboard to engage the public in wider issues relating to science in society, both historically and in a contemporary setting.
