The substance of three sermons, preached by the Converted Jew, at Edinburgh 10, 11, and 13 days of July, 1785. The miraclous conversion of Moses the Jew: And his deliverance from the bloody hands of his Father who is a High Priest in Lower Germany, who employ'd three Russians to murder him, his narrow escape to London his embracing the Christian Religion and his Baptism at Dublin. How he came to Glasgow where the preached several times, and was attended both by the College and Clergy. He arrived at Edinburgh on Friday the 8th. July, 1785 and was waited on by the Ministers. He preached in Lady Glenorchy's Chappel on Sunday evening to a numerous Congregation, from Isaiah lxiii and 11, and on Monday evening, from Hebrews iv and 14, and his last Sermon here, from Isaiah xl and 11: These three Collections was for the benefit of the Orphan Hospital. None that heard him but allows him to be as well known in the Scriptures, and as pious as ever they heard. He set off for London on Friday last. the 15th. July. He had eight different Languages. And has learned English in the course of 18 Months, since he came from Germany.
