A catalogue of the particulars of the dwelling house, coach-house, and stables for four horses, with another House, Ware-House, and Court-Yard adjoining, near Old Bethlem, of Sir Joseph Eyles, Deceas'd. Likewise, all the houshold and other furniture; consisting of Damask and other Beds, Window-Curtains, and Hangings; Pier, Chimney, and Glass Sconces; India, Rose-Wood and Mahogany Cabinets, Screens, Chests, Tables, and Chairs; rich Brussels Tapestry; Persia, and other Carpets; great Choice of the old fine Japan China, and particularly, a most exquit site Set of fine Landskip Dresden China; a Sideboard of useful Plate; a Wardrobe of exceeding good Houshold Linnen, fine wrought Quilts, Counterpanes, &c. together with sundry Fire-Arms, a very handsome Town Chariot, with a Pair of good Coach-Horses, and other valuable Effects. To which is added, the collection of Edward Jeffryes, of the Inner Temple, Esq; deceas'd. The Furniture, Pictures, &c may be view'd at the Place of Sale on Friday the 12th instant, and every Day after (sunday excepted) till the Time of Sale, which will begin each Day at Eleven in the Forenoon. A catalogue of part of the valubale Spanish silks and other effects of the St. Joachim Prize, taken by His Majesty's Ship the Monmouth, Capt. Charles Wyndham. Consisting of great choice of the richest gold and silver brocades, compleat suits for gentlemen and ladies, not made up; cloaks, manteels, aprons, handkerchiefs, hoods, and tippets of the sinest needlework; great variety of gold and silver lace for petticoats and robings, of the most beautiful patterns; rich remnants of gold and silver brocades for gentlemens waistcoats, several pieces of flower'd velvet, plain and flower'd silks, ribbonds, &c. Which will be sold by auction, by Mr. Cock, at his house in the Great Piazza, Covent-Garden, on Monday next, the 7th of this instant, May, 1744, and the four following days. The said goods can be viewed only on Saturday the 5th of May, (to prevent their being damaged in the shewing) and the sale will begin each day at half an hour after eleven precisely. A catalogue of Signor Sterbini's curious collection lately brought from Rome, Consisting of the greatest vareity of choice and noble Pieces of Antiquities, in Marble Statues, Busto's, Tables, and Pillars of Oriental Jasper; his exceeding fine Pieces of Roman Earthen Vases, Urn's, Dishes Plates, and Cisterns; painted by Raphael and Julio Romano, for Side-Boards, &c. in the highest and most magnificent Tast; with several Italian Pictures, Italian Marble Tables; some scarce and valuable Roman and Grecian Coins, with many small Poenates, Lares, and Vessels us'd in Sacrifice; Brounzis; Oars in Gold and Silver, Christals' and divers other Curiosities. A catalogue of Mons. Beauvais's collection of antique marble and brass figures, bustos, models, bass-relievos, vases, urns, and tables, in porphyry, oriental alabaster, &c. by him collected at Rome, Florence, Naples, and other parts of Italy. Which will be sold by auction, on Wedneday, February the 28th 1738-9; and the following days, at Mr. Cock's in the Great Piazza, Covent-Garden. As likewise divers matchless curiosities consign'd from vienna, particularly some large. Dishes, an ewer, &c. of silver gilt, set with most exquisite art and beauty, and in a most superb and magnificent taste, being ornamented all over the rubies, diamonds, emeralds, saphires, cameas, and intaglias, in onyxes, sardonyxes, cornelians, &c. by the most eminent Greek and Roman gravers, being the work and contrivance of the late famous Joannes Gillis of Antwerp, and by him esteem'd at six thousand pounds. Also several valuble jewels in seals, &c. a small cabinet of intaglias, a choice collection of medals in gold and silver some beautiful enamellings, several excellent pictures, and other curious effects. Which may be view'd on Saturday the 24th and every day after (Sunday excepted) till the hour of sale, which will begin each day at eleven o'clock. The last sale for this season. Being the most valuable part of the collection of Elihu Yale, Esq; (late governor of Fort St. George) deceas'd. Consisting of jewels, (particularly that celebrated diamond ring, on which is cut the arms of England, and Scotland, formerly belonging to Mary Queen of Scots) fine diamond and pearl necklaces, gold repeating and silver watches, and clocks with several motions, chas'd, philligrew and houshold plate, with several dozens of silver plates, and some dishes; a large collection of valuable pictures and limnings, among which is the capital picture of the samaritan woman, by the famous vander werf; a fine India skreen standing upwards of ten foot, with great variety of extraordinary India cabinets, and divers sorts of useful houshold goods; brass cannons, carious fire-arms, mathematical instruments, fine snuff boxes; swords and canes, several parcels of fine silks, linnens, muslins, &c. with many valuable curiosities in gold, silver, and agate. Which will be expos'd to view, at his late dwelling-house in Queens Square near Ormond Street, Lambs Conduit, on Saturday the 3d of March, and every day till the time of sale, which will begin on Thursday the 8th of March at eleven a-clock in the forenoon precisely.
