RawMinds Summer 2018 3D Design Challenge Project
I've definitely learnt more skills in design – how to plan your design, the different stages of development. I feel more enthusiastic about design now. The biggest challenge was turning the idea into a physical thing. I had to change some things around so it would work. Seeing my work on display was a great moment!
Project highlights

This summer, 15 students interested in 3D design, product design and model-making worked with Adam Blencowe and Thor ter Kulve from Studio in Place to design flat-pack products inspired by the Global Clinic, part of Living with Buildings.

Their challenge was to design products or tools that could be used in or around the Clinic, using the same flat-pack technology. They travelled to the offices of architects Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, the architects who developed the Global Clinic design.

They developed their initial ideas using collage and sketches and planned out designs using scale drawings.

The next step was to test their designs using scale models.

Their sketches, scale drawings and models and some 1:1 prototypes of 3D designs were displayed as part of Made Well.
