To the public. The proprietors of the Argus, ever desirous to testify their gratitude for the encouragement their literary labours have experienced from a generous and discerning public, have, for their accommodation, taken an office in the most centrical situation of London, No.5, Catherine-Street, Strand. The Argus, therefore, will hereafter be wholly conducted at the above Office. If Authentic Intelligence, Fashionable Anecdotes, and a speedy Communication of every important Occurrence, foreign and domestic, together with an early Publication, will ensure a superiority over the numerous productions of the day, every exertion will be extended on the part of the Proprietors to obtain that end. Further professions are unnecessary. The Argus has been already submitted to the public judgment; its success hitherto is at once the best testimonial of its character and presage of its future fame.
