A short but particular and impartial account of the treatment of slaves in the island of Antigua, so far as came within the writer's knowledge, during a residence of eight years. Wherein are considered, the arrival and sale of slaves, and their first treatment, their allowance of provisions previous to, and during the war in America, clothes allowed to slaves, and the dress of Negroes in general, in what the work of slaves consists, and their punishments and amusements, with anecdotes and notes.
