One of a series of chromolitho trade cards issued to advertise Dr. Grosvenor's Liveraid, which was supposed to "cure any case of constipation, biliousness, headache, liver complaint, dyspepsia, indigestion, malaria, rheumatism or any other diseases springing from a deranged liver or stomach" and Bellanodyne pain relieving plasters. The illustration shows 3 ducklings (1 yellow, 2 brown) chasing 2 frogs into a pond with trees and a sunny sky behind them and a spray of water lilies and meadowsweet tucked through a card advertising the product. "Copyrighted 1879 by Bufford, Boston".

Late victorian chromolitho trade card advertising Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound, Lydia E. Pinkham's Liver Pills and Lydia E. Pinkham's Blood Purifier. The card is one of a series. This one shows a water mill in the snow by moonlight, mostly in pale blue. The Compound was supposed to cure ovarian troubles, inflammation, ulceration, falling and displacement of the womb... and is particularly adapted to the change of life... faintness, flatulency, destroys all cravings for stimulants... bloating, headaches, nervous prostration, general debility, depression and indigestion. The liver pills (laxative) cured constipation, biliousness and torpidity of the liver. The Blood purifier was supposed to cure scrofula, rheumatism, cancerous humour, erysipelas, canker, salt rheum and skin diseases, all of which were due to "impurities of the blood".
