Bibliotheca Smithiana A catalogue of the curious, elegant, and very valuable library of Joseph Smith, Esq; His Britannick Majesty's Consul at Venice lately deceased. The Books are in the finest Preservation, and consist of The very Best, and Scarcest Editions of the Latin, Italian, and French Authors, from the Invention of Printing; Many Capital Books of Prints and Antiquities, with Manuscripts and Missals upon Vellum finely illuminated. A catalogue of the libraries of the late Dr. Cromwell Mortimer, Secretary to the Royal Society, Edmund Pargiter, Esq; And many Others, too tedious to mention; All purchased this last Summer. Likewise a numerous collection of curious Manuscripts, Prints and Drawings. The Whole together being a much larger Collection than any ever yet sold by any Bookseller in England. Which will begin to be sold (the lowest Prices printed in the Catalogue, without any Abatement, for Ready Money only) At T. Osborne's, in Grays-Inn, On the 26th Day of November 1753; and for the Conveniency of the Nobility and Gentlemen who live at a Distance, will continue selling every Day till November 1754. ... Catalogues to be had at all the Booksellers in Great Britain and Ireland, France, Spain and Holland; and at the Place of Sale, where may be had Money for any Library of Books, Prints or Manuscripts. N. B. The Second Volume of this Collection will be published in January next. There are some Manuscript Sermons to be disposed of, warranted Originals, which proved otherwise will be taken again.
