A catalogue of all that grand and noble collection of Italian, French, Flemish and Dutch pictures, of a nobleman Brought from his Lordships Seat in Nottinghamshire, Consisting of the Works of the following great Masters, Primaticcio, L. Da Vinci, An. De Sarto, Tintoret, Guido, ... Lanfranc, A. Sacohi, S. Rosa, P. Laura, D. Fetti, N. and G. Poussin, Holbein, Rubens, Vandyck, Snyders, Teniers, Swaneveldt, Wovermans, J. Miel. Cuyp, Weenix, Hondecoater, Berghem. Together with an elegant Cabinet, representing the Temple of Love, with the Attributes and Emblems, elaborately embost in Silver. The above have been collected by his Lordship and noble Father during the Course of a great Number of Years with great Speculation and vast Expence. Which will be sold by auction, By Mr. Christie, At his Great Room next Cumberland House, and that, late the Royal Academy, in Pall Mall, On Friday, March 20, 1772, and four following Days, Sunday excepted. A catalogue of a truly capital and valuable collection of drawings, of the late Matthew Duane, Esq; deceased; Collected for him, by the late Mr. Hamilton, at Rome, And consists of the undoubted Works of the following great Italian Masters, viz. Raphael, Corregio, Schidoni, A. del Sarto, Titian, P. Veronese, Tintorett, Palma, Carracci, Guido, Guercino, S. Rosa. Several Fine Drawings, Framed and Glazed. Together with a select Collection of Seventy-Two elegant high-finished drawings, by that much esteemed Artist Mr. Hussey, Being a Selection of the most striking Efforts of that celebrated Master's Genius. Which will be Sold by Auction, (by Order of the Executor) By Mr. Christie, At his Great Room, in Pall Mall, On Tuesday, May 1st, 1787, and the following day. A catalogue of a most superb unique collection of ancient statues, bustos, bas-reliefs, urns and other antiquities, chiefly the workmanship of Grecian artists, Being the most remarkable Collection of this Kind ever exposed to Sale in England-These superb Antiquities were purchased by the Mess. Adam, during their Stay in Italy, from the most celebrated Collections of that Country; namely, that of the Vatican, Barbarini, Matei, Furietti, Massimi &c. &c. &c. Also a Catalogue Of a very Noble and Capital collection of pictures, By the greatest Masters of the Italian and Flemish Schools; And a singular and Beautiful-Collection of finish'd Drawings, fram'd and glaz'd; the most elegant Decoration for the Dressing-Rooms of the Ladies, and likewise for the Cabinets of the Virtuosi. Which will be sold by auction, By Mr. Christie, At the great Room belonging to the Society of Artists of Great Britain, betwixt Exeter 'change, and the bottom of Catherine Street in the Strand. On Thursday 25, Friday 26, and Saturday 27, of February, and Monday 1, and Tuesday 2, March 1773. The said Collection may be viewed on Friday, February 19, 1773, and till the Time of Sale, which will begin each Day punctually at Twelve O'Clock. Conditions of Sale as usual.
