The trial of the Hon. Philip Stopford, second lieutenant of His Majesty's ship Britannia, at a court martial held on board the Dragon, in Portsmouth harbour, on Friday, January 5, 1781. Capt. Joseph Peyton, president. For refusing to do duty under a junior lieutenant, appointed first lieutenant by Admiral Darby. With Mr. Stopford's defence and acquittal.
