An alphabetical list of the freeholders and burgesses, of the several parishes of the city and county of Bristol, who polled at the election in the year 1734. Taken before Michael Pope, Esq; and Benjamin Glisson, Esq; sheriffs. Which began Wednesday the 14th of May, and ended Friday the 24th of May, 1734. The candidates being the Honourable John Scrope, Esq; Sir Abraham Elton, bart. and Thomas Coster, Esq; when upon casting up the poll the numbers stood as under, Honourable John Scrope, Esq; 1866 Sir Abraham Elton, bart. 2420 Thomas Coster, Esq; 2071 whereupon the two latter were declared duly elected.
