The gentleman's guide, in a tour Through Part of France and Flanders; containing a particular description of Calais, Ardres, Boulogne, St. Omers, Aire, Mardyke, and Dunkirk; wherein is described the particular Ceremonies of the Nuns, taking the Veil; Copies of their Vows, their Times of Prayer, Form of their electing a Superior; Manner of their celebrating particular Days; with a full and compleat Account of the Capuchins, Minims, and Benedictines. Also an account of the coins and current money, with their respective Value in French and English. Directions for Travelling, both by Land and Water, with the necessary Expence of each. The whole calculated to shew the religious and other customs of the French nation, guard against their Impositions; and to serve as an Instructive Guide to the Gentleman in his Tour.
