Additional condescendence of instances, for Simon Lord Fraser of Lovat, in the higher Rank and Dignity of Earls, &c. Shewing, when the Succession came to split and divide, in these noble Families that had no Patents directing to what Series of Heirs the Dignity was to descend, it went uniformly to Heirs-Male, in exclusion of Heirs of Line; unless there was some Act and Deed of the Sovereign, altering the Descent of the Honour from Heirs-Male to Heirs female.
