<p>"I made these three books from the empty strips of antidepressants that I take daily. I work in adult mental health and I feel there is still a stigma around having a mental health disorder and taking medication to treat it. The medication I am prescribed bookends my days, I wanted to show this by making a book using empty strips with the symbols of a sun and crescent moon to indicate morning and night. The book constructed from empty strips of 6 capsules is bound by 6 silver rings, it has no front or back, it is transformed into a free standing sculptural object. My choice of the empty green strips for the third book was an aesthetic one, as these were the only tablet strips that used colour."--Statement provided by artist.</p>
