Leaflet advertising advertising Hudson's Dry Soap detergent. The front is a colour illustration showing women washing in a stone bath in front of ancient ruins and trees, a lake and mountians behind them and a boat with a large box of the soap in the foreground. Robert Spear Hudson (d.1884) invented the first dry soap powder, "Hudson's Dry Soap" in 1837 in his small pharmacy in West Bromwich, England, moving to Liverpool in the 1880s. He advertised extensively, first locally and then nationally, as his business and use of his products grew. The firm was taken over by Lever Brothers Ltd. (now part of Unilever) in 1908.

Light emanates from the finger of the Christ child. The kings all hold vases; a crown and a sceptre lie on the ground. One king looks Arabian. A broken wooden roof joins with a large pillar
