What brought you to our website today?

They are described as "Two sisters of the tribe of Shouaa". They look at a black man with a rifle who turns his back on them: he is the slaver who has captured them and delivered them to the Spaniard. In the story they are rescued by the husband of one of them who arives with a fighting force and punishes the black slaver, while the Spanish slave trader escapes on to Lake Chad in his boat. The author cites as one of her sources Dixon Denham, Narrative of travels and discoveries in Northern and Central Africa (1826)
