Description

Records contain varying levels of detail about staff members and their salary. There are two separate volumes, one for Crichton Royal Institution and one for Southern Counties Asylum, for years 1879-1890, DGH1/6/5/1 and DGH1/6/5/2. From 1889, following the amalgamation of the two establishments into the First and Second Houses of Crichton Royal Institution at the end of 1884, staff pay details for the whole institution are recorded in the same volume, DGH1/6/5/3-14.

At the end of 1884 Crichton Royal Institution and Southern Counties Asylum amalgamated to become the First and Second Houses of the Crichton Royal Institution.
