What brought you to our website today?

On the left is a mausoleum on a plinth. In the background, the Pantheon is shown from the front. In the centre is the equestrian statue of statue of Marcus Aurelius (Haskell and Penny, op. cit., no. 55). In the background, right, is the temple of the sibyl at Tivoli, and in the right foreground Trajan's column. Around the fountain are seven people linked together in a left-to-right flow, including a woman with a water pot, three soldiers with suits of armour, and an old woman (fortune-teller?). Above the fountain, a statue of possibly Ceres with her arms in contrapposto. In the background, next to the Pantheon are the three columns of the temple of Castor and Pollux

On the left is a statue of a lion attacking a horse (Capitoline Museums; Haskell and Penny, op. cit., no. 54). The "obelisk of Augustus" with Egyptian hieroglyphics appears to be the Obelisco Flaminio erected in the Piazza del Popolo, Rome, in 1589. In the right foreground is the Medici vase (removed from Rome to Florence in 1780; Haskell and Penny, op. cit., no. 81)
