A catalogue of the parochial library, in St. Philip's Church Yard, Founded by the Rev. William Higgs, M.A. the first rector of St. Philip's, who, besides his own library, consisting of 550 volumes, bequeathed a sum of money, in trust, to the rector of Sheldon, St. Martin's, and St. Philip's, and directed a catalogue to be delivered to the bishop of the diocese for the time being once in three years. As much of Mr. Higgs's benefaction is already expended, donations will be gratefully received from all those who feel themselves disposed to encourage so excellent an institution, the advantages of which the trustees wish to extend to the clergy of the neighbourhood, as well as of Brimingham itself.

A catalogue of the library of the Late Right Revd. Dr. Richard Pocoke, lord bishop of Meath deceased. Consisting of a well chosen collection in ancient and modern literature, a great number of prints and maps, a large telescope, a double reflecting miscroscope, a solar microscope, mohogany book-cases, and several other curious articles. Which will be sold by auction at his late Dwelling-House in Henrietta-Street. To begin on Monday the 10th of March 1766, at the hour of 12, and to be continued every day until all are sold. Catalogues to be had at Flin's Shop at the Bible in Castle-Street, and at the time and place of sale. Commissions will be carefully executed for gentlemen that cannot attend, by directing to Flin's Shop as above or at the place of sale.

A catalogue of thirty thousand volumes, (with the prices printed) of several libraries just purchas'd; particularly the library of William Kynaston, Esq; late one of the masters in chancery; The ingenious Mr. Joseph Martin, prc̆eptor of the modern languages, mathematicks, &c. to great numbers of the nobility; as also, the libraries of W. Glanvil, Esq; the Revd. Mr. Jackson, and several others. Amongst which are a collection of fine prints and drawings by the most eminent masters; the Greek and Roman classicks, antiquities, histories, voyages, &c. A large collection of French, Italian and Spanish; several hundred volumes of manuscripts, and almost a complete collection of law books. Which will begin to be sold, at T. Osborne's, in Gray's-Inn, (for ready money only) on Monday the 29th of May, 1749, and on account of the largeness of the sale, will be continued selling on every day till the first of august. Gentlemen may be supplied with this catalogue by Mr. Rollin at Perisa Mr. Vanderhoeck at the Hague. Weststein and Co., and Mortier at Amsterdam; and by all the booksellers in every noted town in England, Scotland and Ireland; by whom commissions are taken in, and at the place of sale, where may be had money for any library or parcel of books. There are about two thousand sermons preached by the most eminent divines, to be sold at 2s per dozen; and likewise, some curious manuscript sermons warranted originals.

A catalogue of the very curious and valuable musical library of antient and modern compositions, by the most eminent masters, from the sixteenth century to the present time: Consisting of madrigals, services, oratorios, oded, trios, concertos, canzonets, catches, motetts, anthems, operas, duets, sonatas, lessons, canons, masses, Psalms, cantatas, songs, serenetas, voluntaries, glees, &c. &c. by tallis, tye, child, gibbon, purcell, bird, blow, tudway, bull, morley, carissimi, leo, feo, pergolesi, stradella, lotti, palistrina, marcello, stephani, clari, porpora, handel, haberman, pepusch, rameau, richter, gluck, bach, matherson, Claude le June, Philidore, and more than three hundred and fifty Italian, English, German, and French composers, the greatest part in excellent preservation, and collected through a series of years, with infinite care and judgment, by the Late W. and P. Hayes, doctors in music, oxon. N.B. Lot no. 377, is a choice and valuable collection of songs of Henry Lawes, written by himself, and valued by Dr. P. Hayes at Đ50. This capital collection in deposited at Smart's Music Warehouse, the cornor of Argyll Street, Oxford Street, London, by appointment of the administrators. Where it may be viewed; the whole of which is made into lots, with the prices annexed in the catalogue, which will be delivered to the purchasers when the money is deposited, and the lots are to be taken away at thier own expence. At the same time will be sold, a fine-toned harpsichord, warranted to be made by the celebrated Rooker of Antwerp, in perfect and high preservation, with a curious painting inside the lid.
