What brought you to our website today?

The chart is advertising The Antikamnia Chemical Co.'s pharmaceutical preparations: Antikamnia powder, (succedaneum to morphia, opposed to pain), Antikamnia Tablets, Antikamnia and Codeine Tablets, Antikamnia and Quinine Tablets, Antikamnia and Salol Tablets and Antikamnia, Quinine and Salol Tablets. The St. Louis offices are illustrated and the London agent, John Morgan Richards of 46 Holborn Viaduct is mentioned.

The second in a 7-part series in which Robert Winston looks in detail at the life of the human body in chronological order from birth to death. This part is about the start of life. Philipa and Geoff Watson are about to go through pregnancy and childbirth. Their story is featured from difficulties in conceiving to the birth of their baby. Imaging techniques are used to visualise in 3-D Philipa's internal anatomy and the female reproductive process. Male ejaculation is shown and the journey of sperm to the fallopian tubes is visualised. Laser microscopic footage shows in detail the sperm's meeting with an egg and the process of fertilisation. Embryonic and fetal development is shown in detail as is the development of the pregnant body; finally Philipa is shown giving birth.

The first in a four-part series, presented by Michael Mosley, in which CGI footage is used to show the workings of the human body. In this part, we see the process of human biological creation. State-of-the-art graphics show how millions of sperm race towards the egg and the best is selected by the female egg. We see a body beginning to self-assemble and the process of how a human face comes together is shown. We meet a couple who have triplets, a woman about to have her sixteenth child and the oldest conjoined twins in the world.

Inside the human body. Part 1, Creation.

Starting slate: Begin 417. Live twin sheep foetuses being observed laying in am amniotic bath and then being lightly flicked with a finger to elicit a response. Their heads and limbs are manipulated. This is repeated many times. The closing shot is of a row of dead sheep foetuses.

Part 1; the film starts with footage of adult and newborn lambs rising from using a characteristic movement of their legs. The purpose of the film is to trace this movement back to the early developmental foetal stages from 38 days onwards. The foetus appears to 'right' itself in the uterine sac when stimulated. which starts with an intertitle about the righting movements of sheep: the first foetus is at 38 days onwards. The foetal sheep's head and dorsal spine respond to stimulation, although the legs do not to begin with. Identifiable righting movements begin at 49 days. These later sheep foetuses are removed from the amniotic sac.

A film with opening intertitles with credits. The film starts with what it describes as 'the general layout'; the research animal is injected with an anaesthetic (this is shown on an adult sheep). The sheep is placed (and immobilised) in a 'bath'. It is offered sugar cubes and eats them but does not react to pinching with tweezers on its abdomen. The uterine sac is partially removed and entered. Film stops abruptly.
