The excise officer's pocket companion; Containing these things which are actually practised in Scotland, and which are absolutely necessary to be understood by every person employed as on officer of excise. Tables calculating the weight of bottles exported with wine, &c. Tables of areas of ale, wine, malt, mash-tun, glass, and tallow. Tables for common brewers' tunning casks. Tables for victuallers' by-tubs. Ullage tables for spirit casks lying and standing, &c. &c. &c. Froms of informations to justice of the peace, respecting frauds, &c. Forms of summonses, executions, poindings, &c. Form of accounts of expences on seizures, with proper tables for calculating the same. Auctioneer and salary tables. Shewing what is to be observed and done by those who would qualify themselves for the excise. With forms of certificates, and an abridgement of general letters, penalties, &c. &c. &c.
