A catalogue of the entire large and valuable collection of prints, drawings, and books of prints, of Mr George Vertue, Engraver. Late of Brownlow-Street, deceased. Consisting of the most capital Works of Raphael, Rubens, Rembrandt, Poussin, Jul. Romano, Vandyck, Jordans, Teniers, &c. And a large Collection of Heads and Portraits by Drevet, Edelinck, Masson, Mellan, and Other eminent French and English Masters. Which will be Sold by Auction, By Mr. Ford, At his Great Room the upper End of St. James's Haymarket, On Wednesday the 16th of this Instant March, 1757, and the Five following Evenings, Sunday excepted. The Whole may be view'd on Monday the 14th, and every Day till the Time of Sale, which will begin each Evening exactly at Six O'Clock. Catalogues to be had gratis at Mr. Ford's. N. B. Mr. Vertue's Library of Books will be sold the 18th, and 19th Instant.

Egbert first monarch of England, Alfred the Great, Canute the Dane, William the Conqueror, first of the Norman Line, and all the succeeding kings and sovereign Queens, to the revolution; with some of the most illustrious princes of the Royal family. Collected, drawn, and engraven, with ornaments and decorations, by George Vertue. To which are added, the heads of Mr. Rapin and N. Tindal, M.A. and and account of the several heads, of the antiquities that have been followed, and of the pictures copied for engraving them. Also, twenty two plates of the monuments of the kings of England, with their epitaphs, and inscriptions, and a brief historical account of them.

The Common Wealth of England, the Ld. Protector Oliver Cromwell, and to the government in the beginning of the reign of King Charles II. a book of these engraved prints in quarto. Drawn and done from the medals, coins, great-seals impressions, now remaining and preserved in the cabinets of the curious. With a description of each plate to be annexed, and some particulars printed of his life and imployment: with some account of his brother Abraham Simon, an excellent modeller in wax.
