The following register of benefactions to the parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch, Middlesex, was collected and composed by the Rev. Dr. John Denne, vicar of the said Parish, and Archdeacon of Rochester; in the year 1745. Messrs. Richard Bowles, and Peter Buckmaster, Church-Wardens.

A vindication of the Church of England, from the objections of papists and dissenters, fully explaining the nature of schism, and cautioning the laity against the delusion of impostors. A work undertaken before the revolution, by the especial command of Archbishop Sancroft, and Dr. Floyd bishop of Norwich: licensed by Bishop Compton in 1692. And since enlarged and improved by the author, particularly with regard to the schism of the nonjurors, and Dr. Calamy's arguments for the Ministry of Dissenters, and compleated for the press a little before his death. On Sunday morning, the 14th of October, 1798, a sermon will be preached, at the Parish Church of St. Dunstan in the west, by the Rev. George Pattrick, L.L.B. vicar of Avely, in Essex; domestic chaplain to the Right Hon. Lady Dacre, of Lee, in Kent; joint lecturer of St. Leonard, Shoreditch; and evening lecturer of St. Bride's, Fleet-Street; for the purpose of relieving, through the medium of the above-mentioned institution, such of the poor of the Parish of St. Dunstan in the West, as are asslicted with ruptures, and to prevent the families of those unfortunate people from becoming chargeable to the said parish.
