What brought you to our website today?

Analyses the cytoplasm using light and electron microscopic examinations of plant and animal cells to illustrate how the cytoplasm acquires building- block molecules, converts them to fuel and makes new cell structures and products. The protein assembly process and the coded genetic instructions which guide it are also explained.

A microscopic look into the structure and function of the living cell - plant, animal and protist. Cell specialization is examined in relation to the function it performs for an organism. The nucleus, cytoplasm and plasma membrane are all examined in detail.

Looks at the processes of diffusion, osmosis, active transport and endocytosis whereby molecules pass to and from cells through the cell membrane. These processes facilitate essential chemical reactions, maintain a stable environment within the cell and allow electronic signals to be passed from cell to cell.
