What brought you to our website today?

<p>William Lithgow, a Scotsman, was mistaken for a spy in 1620 and arrested at Malaga, thrown into the dungeons of the Inquisition and tortured to the limits of human endurance. He was subjected to a combination of the torture of the water and the rack. For a detailed account of Lithgow's ordeal in his own words, see: G.R.
