What brought you to our website today?

Booklet showing views around Port Sunlight and in the soap factories and workers' housing. This includes a dental surgery and a doctor's surgery, social activities and a maternity wing with nurses. Glycerine and cattle food manufacture is also featured.

Leaflet or magazine insert advertising Lever Brothers' Lux laundry detergent. The illustration shows a back view of two young black children with afro haircuts. They are wearing spotted underwear and are looking up at the text on a light brown background. 'LUX' is in red capital letters. Possibly issued in the 1910s.

This is a novelty cut-out calendar for 1897 from Lever Brothers advertising Sunlight Soap. Our copy has already been cut out and pasted together. It looks like a cupboard made from light wood with a chair in front on a red carpet. When the doors of the cupboard are opened they have a calendar for 1897 printed on their backs. Three shelves of crockery and jars of jam are revealed (printed in black). There is a glowing testimonial on the reverse and instructions for using the soap for cleaning clothes.
