Manuscript letter pasted into The Origin of Fingerprinting by Sir William J Herschel, Oxford University Press, 1916. Letter addressed to Karl Pearson. Has pleasure in sending this book. Stated that Galton had asked him to write a complete account of his work in Bengal but he had always felt there was enough material until now. Herschel's inscription on front page "To the Trustees of Sir Francis Galton Laboratory, London University College from the Author 14 Oct 1916".
