The first in a 6-part series about complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). This part looks at how we can establish whether or not CAM therapies really work. We visit a number of institutes and individuals involved in research to test out the efficacy of CAM therapies and explore a range of possible approaches to CAM research, and ask how CAM research is likely to develop in the future.
