About this work

Description

This film shows an operation for removal of subcutaneous tissue from leg on a forty-five year old woman. Pre-operatively photographic evidence is given to show the degree of swelling. The whole skin is removed (exceptionally grisly) and an epidermal graft is made from it, which is replaced. Post-operatively, the anonymised patient recovers and is shown walking.
