Histoires prodigieuses. The author's own copy dedicated to Queen Elizabeth. The title-page and the last leaf of the `Préface au Lecteur' are wanting. Illustrated with 42-three-quarter-page miniatures in gold and colours, and 33 small illuminated initials. Text within red rules.

1 volume 146 [148] 11. (last 3 bl.). 4to. 23 x 161/2 cm. Original sides of the presentation-binding inlaid: these are of calf, with gilt centre and corner-pieces tooled in a fine arabesque design on a ground dotted with semis of three dots. Edges gilt and gauffered, dated 1560. In a red morocco slip-case.
