    2 Arnold's Improved Instrument for Administering Morse Malls, 8fC. and in this way the button in the flexible mouth is moved backwards and forwards. To hold the instrument I connect a handle which may be pistol shaped or otherwise* and a hook or other appliance to steady it* To use the instrument draw back the piston and place the ball or other medicine on the button, insert the flexible mouth piece in the 5 mouth of the animal, push the piston forward and the ball is admi¬ nistered without any noise being made by the motion of the rod through the tube, and owing to the flexible nature of the mouth piece it is easily adjusted and does not hurt the animal’s mouth.
