About this work

Description

Intertitles indicate the amount of anaesthesia given. The swabbed vagina is shown prior to the operation. The abdomen is opened and the relevant organs such as the bladder separated. The film may be shot with variable speeds as the patient is sewn up, the surgeon's hands move very swiftly. Post-operatively the uterus is studied - it has a growth. There are graphic sequences of gynaecological surgery in this film.
