Description

Letters from S Cockerell asking Penrose about the whereabouts of a 15th century Book of Hours which belonged to Lord Peckover, and discussing his own portion of the manuscript. An annotation in Penrose's hand reveals that the manuscript was dontated to University College Library (see Related Material note). The 1962 enclosure is a note from Downing College regarding Cockerell's death.
