Description

Box file containing items of ephemera in acid free sleeves. Includes two sets of 6 colour Liebig cards issued in 1907 and 1943 called: Plantes medicinales and Pianti medicinali. A brief description of the plant and its uses is given on the reverse. They include: Aloe Vera, rhubarbe, saffron crocus, camphor, quinine and ricin. 'Extrait liquide de quinona du Dr. de Vrij, préparé par M. Nanning', 'Maticò, or the Peruvian styptic (Thomas Keating : 1905?), the front half of 9 Spanish language direct mail leaflets, advertising medical products (sent to doctors etc. in the 1950s). The product data is lost but the fronts show a series of colour medical plants autumn crocus, foxglove, coffee, atropa belladonna etc.).
