About this work

Description

A calendar of the year A.H. 1301, according to the Persian solar system [A.H. lunar 1341/A.D. 1922]. As stated in the preface, this is the fifty-fourth year of the life of the king [?] and thirty-seventh year of his accession to the throne. [The above year falls within the reign of Ahmad Shah Qäjär (1327-43 / 1909-24). It is, however, the fourteenth and not the thirty-seventh of his reign]. The calendar provides the equivalents of this year. The beginning of the year is given as Thursday, the twenty-second of Jumada I, and a lunar eclipse is predicted on Sunday the fourteenth of Zu al-Hijjah.
