    DHE) ARINSG aR 2 Si ee Professor and Reader, there are three assistants dealing with emergencies. Teaching will be carried on in the demonstration theatre, to which patients can be wheeled from the ward or out-patient department. Daily conferences will be held among the staff regarding matters of interest. Some students will be attached to the wards where cases will be allocated for their own care and observation. Reviews or symposia on recent advances, as the surgery of the chest, esophagus or sympathetic nervous system will be given from time to time. In obstetrics and gynzcology, the student will be brought into contact with the clinical problem of diagnosis, treatment and progress by bedside study and instruction. He will receive every facility to become familiar with ancillary methods of investigation: radiology, biochemistry, pathology and endocrinology. At the ante-natal and post-natal clinics, classes will consist of small groups, no more than three or four. Instruction in infant hygiene will form part of the routine, and regular instruction in the manage- ment of the healthy infant will be given. The department of pathology will co-operate very closely with the clinical departments. Men and women will be provided with facilities for advanced study: either those who desire general training or those who wish to devote themselves to a particular investigation.
