Description
A calendar of saints' days for 1865 containing an oval gap in the centre, surrounded by an embossed border of gold strapwork. The purchaser could fill the gap with a choice of prints by Marcilly, the present one being a chromolithograph of Christ with the Samaritan woman. The episode is described in Bible. N.T. John 4.1-30
