Oenothera biennis (Evening primrose)

Erect plant with oblanceolate leaves and mass of fading yellow flowers. Plant is a source of evening primrose oil used in the treatment of atopic eczema; also used as a dietary supplement; contains 72% linoleic & 7% linolenic acid.
