Description

Monas hieroglyphica. Translated into French by E. A. d'A. Grillot de Givry. Translator's holograph MS., with added corrected printer's proofs, etc. Illustrated with a few pen-drawn copies of diagrams, etc. The translator's original MS. title-page, and the text are dated 1906, but the latest proof title-page is dated 'Paris. Chacornac. 1925'. There is also a similar title-page in proof, dated 1924, under the imprint of 'Paris. Edition du "Voile d'Isis."' Produced in Paris.

At the end of the last proof-sheet of his 'Note' the translator makes a reference to Albert Poisson's translation of this work in the 'Bibliothèque hermétique, Vol. III' which he describes as 'une sorte de paraphrase ... qui ne mérite pas le nom de traduction'.
