LETTERS PATENT to Pierre Molinari, of Marseilles, in tlie Empire of France, for tlie Invention of 44 An Improved Composition to be used Externally for Preventing Sea Sickness and Illness arising from similar Causes.” Sealed tlie 16 April 1858, and dated the 15th February 1858. PROVISIONAL SPECIFICATION left by the said Pierre Molinari at the Office of the Commissioners of Patents, with his Petition, on the 15th February 1858. I, Pierre Molinari, of Marseilles, in the Empire of France, do hereby 5 declare the nature of the Invention for 44 An Improved Composition to be used Externally for Preventing Sea Sickness and Illness arising from similar Causes,” to be as follows :— This Invention consists in preventing sea sickness and illness arising from similar causes, by the use of a preparation which is composed of vinegar, to 10 which rue, thyme, mint, rosemary, absinth, turmeric, the green husks of wal¬ nuts, rocou, poppy heads and potash are added. A piece of wadding or other similar material is soaked in the preparation, and applied to the pit of the stomach. SPECIFICATION in pursuance of the conditions of the Letters Patent, filed by the said Pierre Molinari in the Great Seal Patent Office on the 28th April 1858. TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, I, Pierre Molinari, of Marseilles, in the Empire of France, send greeting.
