    IN THE AREA 1. Laboratory Provisions : (a) Bacteriological : The Public Health Laboratory at Conway has continued to serve the area. Here all manner of bacteriological work is done and advice from an expert Bacteriologist can be obtained on all manner of bacteriological problems. Through this laboratory, all types of sera, etc., can b<2 obtained at short notice. During the year, the following specimens were sent for examination by Colwyn Bay Doctors :— (b) Pathological: The Pathological Laboratory attached to the West Denbighshire Hospital has grown in usefulness and is being increasingly used for haematological and biochemical work, etc. It is proving a great help in diagnosis of disease. It is not possible to give a report on the number of tests made. (c) Water : Water has been examined for purity by two methods— 1. Chemical—this is carried out by the Public Analyst at' the Assay Office, Chester. A report is included in the paragraph dealing with “ Water.” 2.
