Description

On the right wall hangs a handbill advertising "Love in a village", an opera by Thomas Arne, first produced in 1762. On the door is an engraved handbill headed "Cupid's revenge", which is the title of a tragedy attributed to Francis Beaumont and John Fletcher, first published in 1615 and republished subsequently. A close-stool is shown on the left. The timber framing of the house is exposed
