Description
Magnetic resonance image (MRI), coronal slice, of 10-year-old child with disembryoplastic neuroepithelial (primitive neuroectodermal) tumour and epileptic fits. See also N0014120 and 14121. These are a group of malignant tumours of the nervous system that feature primitive cells with elements of neuronal and/or glial differentiation. In general, these tumours arise in the first decade of life and tend to be highly malignant.
