    The Commissioners in Lunacy inspected the Asylum in March last, and made the following Report:— Nobfolk County Asylum, 20th March, 1865. “ The following Tabular Statement shews the changes in the Patients “ since the visit of our Colleagues, 22nd April last, and their present numbers. Male. Female. Total. Admitted 51 50 101 Discharged 24 35 59 „ of whom recovered 21 30 51 Died (all from ordinary causes) 21 8 29 Present Numbers on Books 177 210 387 „ of whom absent on trial ... 0 2 2 “ Two of the Male patients belong respectively to the Boroughs of “Yarmouth and Kings Lynn. “The Asylum is calculated to accommodate 210 Male and 230 Female “ patients, so that the vacant beds, at present, after reserving two for the “ women on probation, are 33 on the Male and 18 on the Female division. “ The weekly charge for pauper patients is 7s. 6d., as before. “ The sanitary state of the Asylum appears to be good, the numbers last “ registered as under medical treatment being 17 men and 18 women. “ The records of seclusion shew, since the last visit, only 6 instances on “the Male side and 9 on the Female side; the patients secluded being four “ Men and seven W omen. \ “ The Patients of both sexes, at the time of our visit, were most orderly
