Description
Letters from mothers in response to a request for birth experiences / memories of GDR placed in New Generation. The majority of the correspondence dates from 1989-1990, but also includes photocopies of correspondence between Dick-Read and mothers from 1940s. Also includes correspondence with the Dept of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St Mary's re intervention in birth, 1978; ideas for sponsorship of GDR centenary, and other papers relevant to the proposed centenary celebrations. Extracts of letters were subsequently published in NCT's New Generation.
