Lettering

General view of Hong Kong (no. 6.) Lettering on mount: "Hong Kong from above Scandal Point, looking west. This view is taken from the high ground above Scandal Point, the small building in the left foreground being known as the 'White Fort'. The new Catholic chapel occupies the left middle distance, St. John's Place, the house of Messrs Burrows & Co., and Government House being conspicuous in the centre of the picture. The eastern elevation of St. John's Cathedral is seen to good effect on the right, the more elevated portions of the city filling the background."
