Biographical note

The Board of Studies was reconstituted in 1956 following the introduction of the scheme for the Statutory Registration of Professions Allied to Medicine. It was to take over all educational functions of the Association by replacing the Examinations Board and Sub-Committee, the Educational Sub-Committee and the former Board of Studies. It was composed of 3 Council members, the principals of all the training schools and OT and non-OT specialists. Its remit was to inspect and approve the training schools and to matriculate the examinations.
