Description

Patrick Wright in discussion with artists Mark Quinn and writer Eva Hoffman. The main subject of debate is the challenge to individuality of contemporary science. Charles Smith, the Director of the National Portrait Gallery, London, discusses Mark Quinn's portrait of Sir John Salston, who led the genome project in Britain. Eva Hoffman's latest novel deals with cloning. Both artists discuss their attitudes towards the future of the genome.
